Brussels Sprout & Bacon Grilled Cheese
The ultimate grilled cheese sandwich starts with Wholesome Harvest® Stone Ground Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread.
- 2 slices Wholesome Harvest® Stone Ground Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread
- 2 tbsp. butter, melted
- ¼ cup cranberry jam
- 2 slices Provolone cheese
- 2 slices bacon, fried
- 1 cup Brussels sprouts, halved and sautéed
- Brush one side of each slice of bread with melted butter. Lay 1 slice of bread, butter side down on cutting board and top with cranberry jam, one slice of Provolone cheese, bacon, Brussels sprouts, second slice of Provolone cheese and second slice of bread, butter side up.
- Place sandwich in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until bottom slice of cheese has melted, and bottom slice of bread is golden brown. Flip and continue cooking until cheese is fully melted and bread is golden brown on the second side.
